I went through years. I would even have a year of clear skin and then a year of horrible breakout (pimple on top of pimple type). However, everytime I would get an appt. with a dermatologist, my skin would clear up! I began taking snap shots of my face for proof, and have done two seperate Isotrentine (accutane) treatments. After doing the Accutane and using really expensive products, I started using the clearisil pads and Clean & Clear moisturizer with Sacylic acid. In fact, the clearisil pads are so strong, that I can even sleep with my make-up on (by accident of course!) and not break out. I have average skin, sometimes even more on the dry side, and this is what worked for me. ProActive, Murad, etc. had only provided me with minimal relief.

My skin gets really clear for awhile, then it gets bad, then clear again. It's really annoying! I've found that using a bunch of artificial products on my face makes it *worse*. Even using a cream every night can make me break out.... I guess that says my skin is sensitive. :) Proactiv is a good choice for lots of people, but it didn't really work a miracle for me. I've tried one Neutrogena cream.... it worked, but what really works for my skin is the natural stuff. Try a salve with calendula in it if you can find one, and using an organic, natural soap that's made for people with break-out prone skin.

Hey! If you wash your face too much to get rid of oily skin, your skin will dry out and will get the message that it's not making enough oil, so, it just makes more. I am a neutrogena fan. If you wash your face at night with a Neutrogena cleanser (if you get a scrub, don't use it every day, just about 2x a week)and then apply an Oil free Neutrogena creme, it works wonders. In the morning rinse your face w/ plain luke warm water.....

I look like a demented unicorn. anyway, do you think the neutrogena products work well? in case, which are the best?
